2025年12月17日 林研究室と合同でJASRI・筒井先生を名工大にお招きして、研究会を実施しました。この研究会ではメスバウアー分光について勉強をし、2026年2月に実施予定の核共鳴散乱測定に関する基礎知識の習得を行いました。我々のグループでは初めての実験手法になりますので、いいデータが得られることを期待しています。
17 December 2025 In collaboration with the Hayashi Laboratory, we hosted Professor Tsutsui from JASRI at Nagoya Institute of Technology for a research meeting. This session focused on studying Mössbauer spectroscopy and acquiring fundamental knowledge for the nuclear resonance scattering measurements scheduled for February 2026. As this represents our group’s first application of this experimental technique, we anticipate obtaining valuable data.
2025年12月8日～12日 パシフィコ・横浜で実施されましたMRM 2025でM1・村瀬君、B4・水野君がポスター発表を英語で行いました。頑張って質疑応答も英語で行い、頑張って議論をしてくれました。お疲れさまでした。中華街は混んでいました。麻婆豆腐、辛うまでした。
8–12 December 2025 At MRM 2025 held at Pacifico Yokohama, M1 Murase and B4 Mizuno delivered poster presentations in English. They worked hard to conduct the Q&A in English and engaged in thorough discussions. Well done. Chinatown was crowded. The mapo tofu was spicy and delicious.

2025年11月25日10時～26日10時までSPring-8 BL02B2において粉末X線回折測定をB4 水野君と実施しました。今回も多くの試料の測定を実施しました。頑張って解析を行ってください。
Powder X-ray diffraction measurements were conducted at SPring-8 BL02B2 with Mr Mizuno (B4) from 10:00 on 25 November 2025 until 10:00 on 26 November 2025. Numerous samples were measured on this occasion as well. Please endeavour to carry out the analysis diligently.
2025年11月21日 第35回 材料フォーラムTOKAIが名古屋大学で開催され、４年生・高木さん、杉山君、水野君、渡邉君、M2・位田君、松野君、吉坂さんがポスター発表を行いました。高木さんが優秀ポスター発表賞を受賞しました。おめでとうございます！
21 November 2025 The 35th Materials Forum TOKAI was held at Nagoya University. Fourth-year students Takagi, Sugiyama, Mizuno, and Watanabe, along with M2 students Idata, Matsuno, and Yoshisaka, gave poster presentations. Takagi received the Outstanding Poster Presentation Award. Congratulations!
2025年11月15日～22日の間、NEXUSプロジェクトでインドネシア・ロンボク島にあるマタラム大学に宮崎と鎮目先生が訪問し、再生可能エネルギーのインドネシアでの普及状況、政策、観光との両立についての調査、議論を行うとともに、学部生向け、大学院生向けに講義を行ってきました。また、今後の名工大とマタラム大学との共同研究について、議論を行ってきました。
スパイシーな料理とインドネシアビールの組み合わせは美味しかったです。
From 15 to 22 November 2025, Professors Miyazaki and Shizume visited Mataram University on Lombok Island, Indonesia, as part of the NEXUS project. They conducted research and discussions on the current status of renewable energy adoption in Indonesia, related policies, and its compatibility with tourism. They also delivered lectures for both undergraduate and postgraduate students. Furthermore, discussions were held regarding future collaborative research between Nagoya Institute of Technology and Mataram University.
The combination of spicy dishes and Indonesian beer was delicious.
2025年11月3日～14日の間、NEXUSプロジェクトでマレーシア工科大学、マレーシア・プトラ大学の研究者が名工大に滞在して、実験を行いました。滞在中に研究室でゼミを開催して、マレーシア工科大学のChanさん、プトラ大学のYazid先生による研究紹介を行って頂き、学生とともに議論をしました。学生のみんなは英語で頑張って議論をしてくれました。
また、マレーシア工科大学のFauzi先生が名工大に来学され、学長との面談、Aichi-SRの見学、実験を行いました。Aichi-SRでのXAFS実験はB4水野君が頑張ってくれました。
From 3 to 14 November 2025, researchers from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM) and Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM) stayed at Nagoya Institute of Technology (NITech) to conduct experiments as part of the NEXUS project. During their stay, a seminar was held in the laboratory where Mr Chan from UTM and Professor Yazid from UPM presented their research, followed by discussions with the students. The students worked hard to engage in the discussions in English.
Additionally, Professor Fauzi from Universiti Teknologi Malaysia visited Nagoya Institute of Technology. He met with the President, toured the Aichi-SR facility, and conducted experiments. Mr Mizuno (B4) diligently carried out the XAFS experiments at Aichi-SR.
2025年10月21日～25日の間、SATREPSの中間評価のためにマレーシア工科大学に滞在しました。宮崎がSATREPSの研究に関する中間報告を行うとともに、現地のPOMEの工場の現地見学を行いました。プロジェクトは折り返し地点を迎えましたが、宮崎Gは放射光による先端分析を中心に更にプロジェクトに貢献をしていきます。
From 21 to 25 October 2025, I stayed at the Malaysian University of Technology for the SATREPS interim evaluation. Miyazaki presented the interim report on SATREPS research and conducted a site visit to the local POME plant. The project has now reached its halfway point, but Miyazaki Group will continue to contribute further, focusing on advanced analysis using synchrotron radiation.
2025年9月26日～10月14日の間、NEXUSプログラムでベトナム・ハノイ工科大学およびベトナム国家大学ホーチミン校に宮崎と鎮目先生が滞在しました。滞在中は再生可能エネルギーを用いた電力制御に関する勉強をするとともに、ベトナムにおける熱電変換材料の研究について紹介をしてもらうとともに、今後の共同研究についての議論をしました。対応を頂きましたハノイ工科大学のNguyễn Đức Tuyên先生、ベトナム国家大学ホーチミン校のPhan Bach Thang先生に深く感謝します。
ベトナムは学生がみんな熱心でした。是非、日本の学生もエンカレッジしてもらって一緒に研究ができればと思います。バインミーとベトナムビール、美味しかったです。
From 26 September to 14 October 2025, Miyazaki and Shizume-sensei stayed at the Hanoi University of Science and Technology and the Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City under the NEXUS programme. During my stay, I studied power control using renewable energy, received an introduction to research on thermoelectric conversion materials in Vietnam, and discussed future collaborative research. I extend my deepest gratitude to Professor Nguyễn Đức Tuyên of Hanoi University of Technology and Professor Phan Bach Thang of Vietnam National University Ho Chi Minh City for their hospitality.
The Vietnamese students were all very enthusiastic. I sincerely hope Vietnamese students will be encouraged to engage in joint research with Japanese students. The banh mi and Vietnamese beer were delicious.

On 25 September 2025, at the 22nd Japan Thermoelectric Society Academic Conference held at Science Hills Komatsu, M2 student Matsuno and M1 student Hisada presented posters. Additionally, Miyazaki and Professor Mikami from AIST, a joint research partner, gave oral presentations. The Hokuriku seafood and sake were delicious.
2025年9月18日 北海道大学で実施された2025年秋期(第177回)講演大会・熱電材料のセッションでM2・位田君、宮崎、共同研究者の産総研・三上先生が口頭発表を行いました。札幌のラーメン、サッポロビール美味しかったです。
北海道大学の構内のコンビニにはビールが売っていました。いい環境です。
次の秋の金属学会は秋田大学です。
18 September 2025 At Hokkaido University, during the 2025 Autumn (177th) Lecture Conference session on thermoelectric materials, M2 student Mr Iida, Miyazaki, and our collaborative researcher Mikami-sensei from AIST gave an oral presentation. Sapporo ramen and Sapporo beer were delicious.
The convenience store on the Hokkaido University campus sold beer. A rather splendid environment.
2025年8月28日～9月7日の間、SATREPSプロジェクトおよびNEXUSプログラムで名工大・南雲研究室の学生とともにマレーシア工科大学に滞在しました。滞在中はマレーシア工科大学のUMTECHに滞在して共同研究を推進するとともに、SATREPSで立ち上げているPOMEの浄化装置の見学などを実施しました。Mukhlis先生、対応をして頂き感謝致します。また、シンガポール・チャンギ国際空港のジュエル、現地ではジョホールバルの新鮮な海産物とシンガポールのビールを堪能しました。
From 28 August to 7 September 2025, I stayed at Universiti Teknologi Malaysia alongside students from Nagoya Institute of Technology’s Nagumo Laboratory, as part of the SATREPS project and NEXUS programme. During the stay, we resided at UMTECH within Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to advance collaborative research, whilst also conducting site visits including inspections of the POME purification equipment being established through SATREPS. My sincere thanks to Professor Mukhlis for his assistance. Additionally, I enjoyed the Jewel at Singapore Changi International Airport, as well as fresh seafood in Johor Bahru and Singaporean beer locally.
2025年7月7日～27日の間、NEXUSプログラムでベトナム・HUSTおよびインドネシア・マタラム大学のグループが宮崎Gに滞在しました。滞在中は宮崎Gで熱電変換材料の合成と熱電特性評価を行うとともに研究室でゼミの開催、学生との交流、Aichi-SRの実験などを行いました。
HUSTの学生のHung君は長期間滞在して、最後に滞在中の研究成果をまとめて発表しました。最後には研究室の学生との友好の印としてプレゼントを授与しました。
From 7th to 27th July 2025, groups from Vietnam’s HUST and Indonesia’s Mataram University stayed at Miyazaki G under the NEXUS programme. During their stay, they synthesised thermoelectric conversion materials and evaluated their thermoelectric properties at Miyazaki G. They also held seminars in the laboratory, interacted with students, and conducted Aichi-SR experiments.
Hung, a student from HUST, remained for an extended period and concluded his stay by presenting a summary of his research findings. Finally, as a token of friendship with the laboratory students, he was presented with a gift.

Miyazaki delivered an oral presentation at the International Conference on Thermoelectrics 2025, held at Tohoku University from 15th to 19th June. Additionally, Professor Mikami from AIST, a co-researcher, gave an oral presentation. The beef tongue and Japanese sake were delicious.
2025年5月25日～6月1日の期間、アルジェリア・Saida大学に訪問し、研究室見学、招待講演を行いました。宮崎の人生初のアフリカ大陸の上陸でした。特にホイスラー合金のDFT計算の専門グループと議論を行い、将来的な共同研究を実施することで話を進めています。
色々とカルチャーショックなことはありましたが、ご飯は美味しかったのでとても楽しく過ごせました。ちなみにビールは全く売っていませんでした。。。。
From 25th May to 1st June 2025, I visited the University of Saida in Algeria, where I toured laboratories and delivered an invited lecture. This marked Miyazaki’s first ever visit to the African continent. Discussions were held particularly with the specialist group conducting DFT calculations on Heusler alloys, and plans are progressing towards future collaborative research.
Whilst there were various cultural shocks, the food was delicious and I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Incidentally, beer was completely unavailable….

2025年5月6日に福井県・若狭湾エネルギー研究センターに訪問し、イオンビームの研究施設の見学、研究の打合せ、議論をしてきました。夜は懇親会で若狭湾の美味しい魚介とビールを頂きました。
On 6 May 2025, I visited the Wakasa Bay Energy Research Centre in Fukui Prefecture, where I toured the ion beam research facilities and held discussions and meetings regarding research. In the evening, I attended a social gathering where I enjoyed delicious seafood from Wakasa Bay and beer.
2025A期のマシンタイムで4月24日10時～29日10時までSPring-8 BL36XUにおいて非弾性散乱X線測定のマシンタイムをB4 杉山君、名工大・林研、JASRI・筒井先生と実施してきました。研究室としては初めての実験手法になるのでとても勉強になりました。大きい装置で迫力がありました。
During the 2025A machine time period, from 10:00 on 24 April to 10:00 on 29 April, we conducted inelastic X-ray scattering measurements at SPring-8 BL36XU. This was carried out with Mr Sugiyama (B4), the Hayashi Laboratory at Nagoya Institute of Technology, and Professor Tsutsui from JASRI. As this was the first time our laboratory had employed this experimental technique, it proved highly instructive. The large-scale apparatus was quite impressive.

2025年1月9日～23日の間、SakuraサイエンスおよびNEXUSプログラムでUTM、UKMのグループが宮崎Gに滞在しました。滞在中は名工大の実験装置（FE-SEM、TEM、EBSD、XPSなど）を使って実験を行うとともに研究室でゼミの開催、学生との交流、Aichi-SRの実験などを行いました。
From 9th to 23rd January, groups from UTM and UKM under the Sakura Science and NEXUS programmes stayed at Miyazaki G. During their stay, they conducted experiments using Nagoya Institute of Technology’s experimental equipment (FE-SEM, TEM, EBSD, XPS, etc.), held seminars in laboratories, interacted with students, and performed Aichi-SR experiments.

2024年12月4日～14日 トルコに行ってきました。トルコ中部のAfyonでICETAS2024で宮崎が招待講演を行いました。その後、地中海沿岸のMersinに移動して、Mersin大学への訪問、Tarsus大学で宮崎が招待講演を行いました。対応してくれたTarsus大学・Osman教授に感謝致します。
Afyonは全くビールなどは売っておらず、Mersinは普通にビールが売っていました。地域ごとでだいぶ雰囲気が違って楽しかったです。エフェスビール、美味しかったです。
宮崎の渡航費は公益財団法人大幸財団より支援を頂きました。感謝致します。
4–14 December 2024: I visited Turkey. In Afyon, central Turkey, Professor Miyazaki delivered an invited lecture at ICETAS2024. Subsequently, I travelled to Mersin on the Mediterranean coast, visited Mersin University, and Professor Miyazaki delivered an invited lecture at Tarsus University. I extend my gratitude to Professor Osman of Tarsus University for his assistance.
Afyon sold no beer whatsoever, whereas Mersin sold beer quite normally. The atmosphere differed considerably from region to region, which was rather enjoyable. Efes beer was delicious.
The travel expenses for Miyazaki were supported by the Daikō Foundation, a public interest incorporated foundation. We extend our sincere gratitude.

2024年11月20日から22日まで、インドネシア・バリ島で開催された8th Southeast Asia Conference on Thermoelectric (SATA2024)で宮崎、M2 飯尾、M2 北川が口頭発表を行いました。特に学生は初めての国際会議の発表、他国の学生さんとの交流を楽しみました。行きの飛行機からはSPring-8が見れましたが、状況で気づいたのはおそらく宮崎だけかと。。。ビンタンビール、美味しかったです。
Miyazaki, M2 Iio and M2 Kitagawa gave oral presentations at the 8th Southeast Asia Conference on Thermoelectric (SATA2024) held in Bali, Indonesia, from 20-22 November 2024. The students especially enjoyed their first international conference presentation and interaction with students from other countries. SPring-8 was visible from the plane on the way to the conference, but Miyazaki was probably the only one who noticed it under the circumstances. Bintang beer’s were very delicious.

Miyazaki gave an oral presentation and M2 Nagase gave a poster presentation at ICT/ECT 2024, which was held in Krakow, Poland from 30 June to 4 July 2024. In addition, our joint researcher, Dr. Mikami from AIST, gave an oral presentation. The excursion and banquet were held at the Wieliczka Salt Mine. We also visited the World Heritage Site of Auschwitz.

2023年11月19日に宮崎が協力して行った組成分析から、同定された土器の産地で採取した土を使って作成して作品が安曇野市在住の彫刻家濱田卓二さんの個展で展示されました。個展に訪問してきました。
As a result of the compositional analysis carried out with the cooperation of Miyazaki on 19 November 2023, works made using clay from the same region as the pottery identified were exhibited at a solo exhibition by the sculptor Takuji Hamada, who lives in Azumino City. I visited the exhibition.

On 19th October 2023, I attended a celebration for Professor Emeritus Morita of Nagoya University, who was awarded the Medal with Purple Ribbon.

We held a social gathering where students gave presentations on their academic conference presentations, which they had given at the autumn academic conference on 4th October 2023.
2023年9月19日から22日に富山大学で行われた2023年秋季日本金属学会で２名の学生が発表をしました。富山ブラックのラーメンが美味しかったです。
Two students gave presentations at the 2023 Autumn Meeting of the Japan Institute of Metals, which was held at the University of Toyama from 19th to 22nd September 2023. The ramen noodles at Toyama Black were delicious.
